Hi,
I have installed Ubuntu (7.04) from an alternate CD. Everything worked fine during the installation. It asked me to take the CD out and restart. I followed that instruction; after the reboot I get the /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off error. I had the same error when I tried installing from the live CD but someone advised me on the Ubuntu forum that I should try the alternate cd BUT I'm still having the same error. I again contacted the forum but te only help I have got is that someone telling me that its a graphic card problem. I'm using NVidia GForce 3 card. I have not received any kind of help from the forum to solve this problem. I would really appreciate if you coould help me out in this matter.
Thanks

I discovered Ubuntu in its second release thanks to a PC Magazine Ranking. Haven't stop using GNU/Linux since. This place is where I put all the stuff that I stumble upon and fix later. Hope you find it useful.
